At the Omaha Inland Port Authority (OIPA), we believe that true, sustainable progress only happens when the community’s voice directly guides the development happening in its own backyard. Real investment and real change start from hearing from you.

As a public entity dedicated to advancing inclusive economic development across Omaha, our roots and strategic focus are firmly centered in historically underinvested communities in North and East Omaha. To ensure our work continues to align with your needs, priorities, and aspirations, we are inviting all Omaha residents, business owners, and community members to take the OIPA Community Survey.

Transforming Land, Infrastructure, and Opportunity

OIPA oversees economic development within a dedicated 300-acre district in northeast Omaha near Eppley Airfield. Our mission is to transform land and infrastructure into long-term opportunities for local residents and businesses.

Currently, our core projects include:

• Airport Business Park
• The Innovation District

Both initiatives are designed to build generational wealth, improve local infrastructure, and drive equitable progress across the entire city.

Why Your Voice Matters

The OIPA Community Survey is a 5-to-10-minute online questionnaire designed to gather candid feedback from community stakeholders. We want to know what you know about OIPA, how you feel about our current work, and, most importantly, what you want to see from us going forward.

The survey focuses on the following key areas:

• Awareness of OIPA and its work
• Community perceptions and trust
• Thoughts on current projects
• What residents want to see
• Past engagement with OIPA
• Barriers faced when getting involved

The feedback gathered through this survey will go directly to OIPA leadership to shape our strategic plans, project priorities, and community engagement approach moving forward.
